"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." -Galatians 1:10
Everthing I do should first and foremost please Christ. Our nature is to stay away from conflict and try to please everyone. I am thinking especially of family. Sometimes it is hard when you want to please your family, but what they want you to do or say or whatever wouldn't really be pleasing to the Lord. It was a good reminder for me to remember pleasing the Lord and doing what He asks of me comes first, even though other people may get upset or angry with you.
