I did some Christmas shopping today. Jackie came and picked me up around 9:30 this morning and we didn't get back till around 5:30. We went to Michael's first. I am making lamps using canning jars and I got canning jar lamp kit lids. I ended up getting the wrong size jars so I have to take them back and exchange them (oh well). Next, I went to Dick's Sporting Goods and got my husband's gift, a new golf bag because the one he has if really, really old. We went to Kohls next where I helped Jackie find some church outfits. We went to Walmart and I got quite a few things there.
Next, we went to the mall. We had nine children with two adults in the mall with no stroller or anything. It was quite an experience, but they did pretty well. We went to Christopher and Banks where Jackie got a couple more outfits. That is one of my favorite clothing stores. I love their skirts. I just wish they weren't quite so expensive. We got Auntie Annie's pretzels (they are so good)! Then we went to the dollar tree. This was the fun part of the mall because this store doesn't have a whole lot of room in between the ailses so having 9 children in tow was something else.
It was a fun day of shopping! I am almost done with Christmas shopping. Now I just have to get busy making my gifts. I will post pictures when I finish the projects.
Oh, the dollar store... yes.. well we survived it all. It was fun though. Maybe some day when we are both old and gray, we can get one trip just us (and not rushed because we have to get home and change diapers). For now we can just enjoy the kids and make memories of the long line of kids walking through the mall, or the big ring of kids sitting around eating pretzels.
